Recently, I received an email from a website visitor. He had read the Bible study tip on how to use cross-references to interpret Scripture with Scripture. He was confused on how cross-references help you understand a passage. This was a fair question because I didn’t necessarily go into that in the tip itself.

In this week’s Bible study tip I answer this question. I fire up the Logos Bible software app on my computer and walk you through each step I use to let Scripture interpret Scripture. I teach you how to ask questions of the text, and then how to let cross-references help you answer those questions. This process is how I spend the majority of my time in Bible study. It is only after I have exhausted this method that I move on to other resources and methods. So, if you can master this Bible study method, it will take you far in understanding God’s Word.
