These chapters show us the aftermath of the flood. After the waters recede, the first thing Noah does is build an altar and make sacrifices to the Lord. God finds this to be a pleasing aroma. The rest of the narrative shows us the faithfulness of God. Not only does he promise to never destroy the world by flood again, but God also renews the covenant he made with Adam through Noah.
Unfortunately, things end on a low note, as Noah is found drunk in his tent. What does this teach us? It shows that Noah, for as righteous & blameless as he was, is not perfect and he too needs someone to cover his sins.
Do you trust God to keep his word and promises?
