Deuteronomy 3-4

After Moses finished recounting the people’s recent history, he stresses the importance of obedience to the Lord’s covenant. The people must remain obedient to the Word of the Lord and walk in wisdom. This obedience assures blessing and longevity in the Promised Land. Walking in wisdom before the Lord is not complicated. He outlined the path we must take. We must dig into the Word, diligently study it, never forget it, and share it with others. Not only does this show us the importance of God’s Word, but also the importance of discipleship in the life of the believer. The only way the next generation knows how to follow the Lord is if we teach them.
