John 19
This is John’s account of Jesus’ crucifixion. John also gives more of the details of the dialogue between Jesus and Pilate. John’s gospel includes details not included in the other gospels, such as his interaction with his mother & John. We also see Jesus being pierced in his side and not having his legs broken. We also learn that Nicodemus helped Joseph bury Jesus’s body.
John is writing his gospel so that those who read it would believe. He reminds people that he is an eye witness to these events so that we can believe them. The question is: are we going to believe his testimony? Are we going to believe the testimony we find in Scripture of who Jesus is? Our faith and salvation ride on our response to this testimony.
Do you believe the testimony given in the gospels?
