F260 Day 39: Exodus 28-29

Exodus 28-29

The next thing on Moses’ list for the Tabernacle is the priestly garments and how to consecrate these men for service. Moses is given a description of flashy clothes that set the priests apart from the rest of the people. Why? The priests were to be a visible reminder that God was with and walking among his people. When the people saw the priests, they were to think about God.

In much the same way, we are priests in God’s kingdom. Our lives should be set apart and distinct so that people know we are followers of Jesus Christ. It doesn’t mean we have to dress a certain way, but the character of our lives should mark us a different.

Are you visibly living as someone set apart for the Lord?
