John 13
Before the Passover, Jesus has a meal with his disciples. During this meal, Jesus washes his disciples’ feet. He does this to teach them about serving and following his example. After Judas leaves to betray him, Jesus commands his disciples to love one another.
As followers of Christ, our love is what sets us apart. We love one another, and we love our enemies. We are commanded to love in the same way Jesus loved us, which is sacrificially. This is not always convenient or easy, but it is what we are called to do. When we do this, we are following Christ’s example and proving we are his disciples.
Are you loving others like Jesus loves you?
