F260 Day 53: Deuteronomy 1-2

Deuteronomy 1-2

Israel is on the brink of entering the Promised Land. But, this is a new generation. Many of these people were too young or not around to remember how the Lord rescued them from Egypt. So, Moses recounts their history to remind them of where the Lord has brought them from. This history is a preface to recounting the Law. Before they enter the land, God wants to remind his people of their covenant and his expectations he has for them. This is the purpose of Deuteronomy.

Do you ever look back at where God has brought you from? Do you know where he’s taking you?
