Matthew 28
Matthew’s account of the resurrection is similar to the other gospels. The key difference is the response of the religious leaders to the resurrection. They spread a lie that the disciples stole Jesus’s body, which persisted for some time. Finally, the gospel ends with Jesus giving his disciples the Great Commission of making disciples.
Making disciples is the work of a disciple. Jesus tells us how to do this. First, it is as we go and live our lives. In other words, it’s a part of what we do daily. Then we baptize them. Finally, we teach them to obey Jesus’ commands, which includes making disciples. That is the work all Christians are called to. It is our most important work.
Are you doing your part to fulfill the Great Commission?
