F260 Day 233: Ephesians 1-2

Ephesians 1-2

Paul writes to the Ephesian church. To begin, he explains the richness of God’s blessings that make us holy and blameless before him. It even includes the indwelling Holy Spirit. We used to be dead in sin; but, in Christ, God made us alive to now do good. Included in this is a joining together of peoples who were previously enemies, they become one people unto God.

Without Christ we would still be dead in our sin. And that is the current state of everyone without Christ. Yet, it is by God’s grace that we find salvation. There is nothing we have done to deserve or earn it. But when we receive it, our only right response is to do the good works that God prepared for us to do (Ephesians 2:10).

Are you walking in the good works God has prepared for you?
