Acts 2-3
On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came and indwelled the disciples who had been waiting in the house. They began to speak in new languages, which caught the attention of the Jews who had traveled to Jerusalem. This gave Peter an opportunity to share the good news of Jesus, calling people to repent of their sin. At this, 3,000 people come to faith. Later, Peter and John heal a lame man near the temple. They then use this as another opportunity to preach about Jesus.
Entrance into the kingdom of God is simple: repent and believe in Jesus. This is the message we are called to preach. And, as we see in the opening chapters of Acts, God presented opportunities for the apostles to do just that. Likewise, we need to seek out those opportunities in our own lives to share the good news of Jesus with others. Our job is to share the news, and let God do the rest.
Do you look for opportunities to tell others about Jesus?
