Acts 24-25
After the plot to kill him was foiled, Paul makes his defense before Felix. His defense shows that the accusations against him are false. Hoping to receive money for his release, Felix keeps Paul in custody. Eventually Felix is replaced and has another trial. This time, Paul appeals to Caesar and is asked to stand before King Agrippa before being sent to Rome.
Even in difficult circumstances, Paul is using it as an opportunity to share the good news of Jesus Christ. No matter what he does, he wants to have a clear conscience with God and man. He’s not trying to sin against anyone, thus all accusations against him are false. That is how we must live as well. If anyone wants to come against us it should be because of our faith or they are lies against us.
